Did You Overlook the NY Workers Compensation Premium Credit ?
Many construction firms have a discounting tool available to them as it related to their New York Workers Compensation Premium. Sadly this credit is often overlooked. It's called the "Contractor's Premium Adjustment Credit." The size of the credit varies, however, in most states, the credit range is between 5 & 40 percent with discounts of approximately 20 percent being the average. In many states, a formula is used to determine the credit. The formula is based upon average weekly wages to determine the size of the credit.

The contractors Premium Credit can be obtained by completing a simple application- download pdf file for the application. Contact our office for eligibility and we will be happy to apply for you if you qualify.

Construction Employment Payroll Limitation Program
The New York State Legislature enacted the Construction Employment Payroll Limitation Law to provide a more equitable distribution of workers' compensation premium between high-wage paying and low-wage paying employers in the construction industry. The Construction Employment Payroll Limitation Program applies a maximum payroll limitation for employees in eligible construction classification codes (non-residential) for the purposes of determining workers' compensation insurance premiums.
